"Gryff" a Bull Terrier

"Gryff" a Bull Terrier is an acrylic painting measuring 24 x 18 inches in size. Yes I know I usually do acrylic and oil pastel together, but I was in the mood for a change. I have a larger photo that can ve view here if you want a better view. This is a painting of a dog I co-bred named Gryff (English, Canadian, American, Mexican Ch Corsaire Chrome Hoss of Tearock, ROM) and I am very proud of him. Let me know what you think.

"Joy" a Bull Terrier

"Joy" features my Bull Terrier Austin doing one of his favorite activities; rolling around on his back! He looks so joyful when he does this that I named the painting "Joy". This was done on canvas and measures 24 x 18 inches in size. It is acrylic and oil pastel. Isn't he just adorable?

"S'up" a Goat

Well here is my next installment in my farm series; a goat! This was done with acrylic and oil pastel and painted on Arches Hotpressed watercolor paper measuring 18 x 12 inches in size. Actually I am not quite sure how I feel about this painting in regard to whether I am satisfied with it or not. Guess I will just have to sit on it for a while and see what kind of feedback it gets. I realize the composition isn't very exciting, but I was limited in the amount of reference photos for a painting.

"To the Market" Pigs

"To the Market" featuring pigs is my second painting in my farm series. I really liked the play of light and shadows in the painting. I named it "To the Market" because it reminded me of pigs being transported in truchs with those slits of light coming through. A little morbid, but that's what it reminded me of. It's on Arches Hot pressed watercolor paper primed with Art Specturm colorfix primer. It measures 12 x 18 inches in size and is acrylic and oil pastel.

"Sun Up" a Rooster

"Sun Up" is a first in a farm series I decided to do. I wanted to prove to myself that I could still paint other things besides dogs lol . It was done on Arches Hot pressed watercolor paper primed with Art Spectrum colorfix primer. It measures 12 x 18 inches in size and is acrylic.

"Mac 3" a Chihuahua

"Mac 3" is another portrait of Mac the chihuahua loved and owned by the Marino family. It was done on Art Spectrum colorfix paper and measures 12 x 9 inches in size. It is acrylic and oil pastel. This painting was another commission of Mac and I believe that the more portraits I do of him, the better I have a grasp on his look and personality. I enjoyed painting him very much.

"Duke" a Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Well this time around it's a Staffordshire Bull Terrier I named "Duke". "Duke" is an acrylic / oil pastel mixed media painting. It measures 24 x 18 inches and was done on Arches Hot pressed watercolor paper. I had fun doing this painting and the background just sort of evolved on it's own.

"Nitsa" a Borzoi

"Nitsa" is a Borzoi mixed media painting. Painted on Arches hot pressed watercolor paper and primed with Art Spectrum colorfix primer; it measures 12 x 18 inches in size. It was done with acrylic and oil pastel.

"Babycakes" a Bulldog

"Babycakes" was finished just this morning. It features an English Bulldog who did not want to go into the show ring when I took her photo. It was done on Arches Hotpressed watercolor paper with Art Spectrum colorfix primer and measures 24 x 18 inches in size. It was painted with acrylic and oil pastel. "Macie Gray" a Rat Terrier

This is my good friend's Rat Terrier named Macie Gray. This painting is acrylic and oil pastel (my favorite mediums) and measures 18 x 12 inches in size. It is on Arches Hot pressed watercolor paper with Art Spectrum colorfix primer. She is such an adorable little dog! Hope you enjoy!
