"Lucky 7"

Well here is my first attempt at a horse painting. I realize that there are some anatomical errors, but it's really a figurative painting so I don't care too much. I wanted to go bold today and hopefully I pulled it off. Tell me what you think.. Amber Happy Father's Day to all those daddies out there too!

"Sea Dog" a Terrier

Hi, This painting (Sea Dog) is acrylic and was done on stretched canvas that is 18 x 24 inches in size. I wanted to capture the solitude of the moment. The dog is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, but it's so small it's hard to tell. Hope you like it.

"Duke 2" a Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Duke joins us again in another portrait of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named "Duke 2". This is a mixed media piece (oil pastels and acrylics) and was done on canvas panel 16 x 20 inches in size. I am sorry for the poor photo but the oil pastel I used caused some splotchiness in the photo.

"Reflections"

Here is another one in my water series. It's called "Reflections" and measures 16 x 12 inches in size. It is an acrylic painting. I did this one this morning while it was still cool in my studio (don't have air conditioning out there) so I think the heat is the reason why I am attracted to painting water. Hope you enjoy. Amber

"River's Edge"

Meet the River's Edge an acrylic painting on canvas board. It measures 20 x 16 inches in size and is my first time painting water. I actually had to paint this painting twice because the first time didn't turn out too well, but luckily I learned from my mistakes. I hope you enjoy it.

"Joy 2" a Bull Terrier

I decided to do another painting of my Austin on his back but in a different direction today to complement the first http://amberlowe.com/joy.shtml painting. It's acrylic and oil pastel on stretched canvas that measures 24 x 18 inches in size. I wanted the backgrounds to be similar but a little different from each other. Let me know what you think. Amber

"Poppies"

I guess I have gotten on a floral kick because here is the latest painting of poppies. It measures about 14 x 10 inches in size and was done with acrylic and oil pastel. One of the nice things about painting florals is you can use the really bright colors in your box. Hope you enjoy!
