"Lucky 7"
Well here is my first attempt at a horse painting. I realize that there are some anatomical errors, but it's really a figurative painting so I don't care too much. I wanted to go bold today and hopefully I pulled it off. Tell me what you think..

You've got nice color and some movement here--but you have to lengthen the legs or this will never fly as a painting of thoroughbreds. Most expressive works with a racetrack theme actually eaxggerate the length of the legs, as this is what most gives the illusion of speed. Even standing still, a long-legged horse just looks faster than a short-legged one.
I love to see you branching out and experimenting!
