"Macie Gray" a Rat Terrier

This is my good friend's Rat Terrier named Macie Gray. This painting is acrylic and oil pastel (my favorite mediums) and measures 18 x 12 inches in size. It is on Arches Hot pressed watercolor paper with Art Spectrum colorfix primer. She is such an adorable little dog! Hope you enjoy!

Amber, I have just seen your work on Wet Canvas " What's on your Easel" So pleased to find your Blog as well.
I truly love the style you are developing here especially the last two that you have done on the pe primed paper with acrylic and oil pastel. Very exciting work.
Congratulations ...looking forward to seeing more.

The eyes say it all...and the background is great too. I think you have found your calling with these portraits.

Hi again Amber
I think I commented on this one on pastel painters. But I like this one very much also. Really like what you have done with the background and how you have brought it into the dog itself.
Great painting. You do so well with the poses of the dogs looking dreamy or that begging or look at me look. Marilyn Witt.
